In Brasilia there are just two centers of International Relations hosted by Universities. They are the private Ri-UCB (Curso de Relações Internacionais da Universidade Católica de Brasília) and the state-funded iREL (Instituto de Relações Internacionais da Universidade de Brasília). All the others centers are linked to many different kinds of undergraduate institutions, which in fact are NOT universities. They are the so-called "Faculdades", "Centro Universitários" and so on.
Ri-UCB make the most of being based in Brasilia, close to both political leading actors -- like Itamaraty (Brazil's Ministry of Foreign Affairs), "Palácio do Planalto" (the President's office), National Congress, "STF" (Brazilian Supreme Court), "APEX" (Brazilian Federal Government Agency of Trade & Investment Promotion) -- and private sector important entities -- like "CNI" (Brazil's Industry Confederation) and "CNA" (Brazilian National Confederation of Agriculture).
Ranked among the best undergraduate centers of international studies in the emergent Latin-American country, Ri-UCB has the advantage of being part of the top 1 private university in the Brazilian Meddle-West region and top 6 at the national level.
Beyond its faculty members and its many and diverse scholarly clubs, the best part of Ri-UCB are its students, which can attend all the mandatory classes in the morning. This allowed them to dedicate the afternoons to do internships or conducting the clubs activities, either on-campus or off-campus.
To be part of Ri-UCB is the more effective way of going hand-and-hand with Brazil’s global raising up!!
